The first post (not counting that other first post)

No matter what city I'm in I always seem to find myself in a mall- the irony here being that I can't afford to actually ever buy anything more extravagant than a food court pretzel. This week's trip to Joplin, MO was a rare exception though. Many of the stores in this particular mall were going out of business and liquidating their stock.
I spent a good 30 minutes digging through a dying bookstore's pile of last-minute mark downs. (had there been a shattered front window I would have been convinced this place was the aftermath of looters---rioting bookworms)
In keeping with my 2010 resolution to read more I bought the old classic "All Quiet on the Western Front". I read this book (or atleast some extensive Cliff Notes) back sometime during my formal schoolin' and as I recal I liked it. So here's to round two!

This trip also brought about another bad trailer tire blow out:

The only thing that sucks more than changing a flat on the side of a busy highway is doing it while you kneel in snow.
Double-axil trailer discussions are now taking place so we can avoid the above disaster as well as this:

and this:

not to mention this:

Yeah- it's been a rough year for our little trailer!

Josiah and I will be in Nashville for the next four days doing some writing sessions and cutting some new demos. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm hoping the days are just as productive as they are exhausting- I'll keep you posted.
