Commercially Creative

Just returned from yet another writing trip to Nashville. This one was super last minute and kind of a sprint to get there on time. We had to get up at 5:30am, drop Britt of in ATL and head straight into downtown Nashville for an afternoon session. We got there with 10 minutes to spare.
Writing all day for a few days is pretty draining but it was a really productive trip. After 5 sessions we walked away with 4 finished songs (which is great- usually we get 1 or 2)

The reason we go to Nashville to write is so we can work with writers that are well versed (pun intended) in Christian radio and try to write a couple of tunes that are sure to grace the airwaves. Sometimes it's difficult to find the ballance between the commercial and the creative but I feel like we grabbed a couple on this trip that did exactly that. I'm pretty excited about them.
We're doing a special acoustic gig on May 2 at a church in Indianapolis (friends of ours) and we're gonna throw a couple at the audience to see if they stick.

About to hop in the chair and get my ears lowered in prep for an upcoming Philmont photo shoot. If you live in Charlotte and want an amazing cut- go see Jesse in Carmen!Carmen! located in South Park Mall. He'll make you look like a rock star!

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. I'll try and keep current from now on!
